Matthew 14:13-21* Give God what you have
Do you ever want to Just be alone?
Jesus (John the Bap. Died) & Disciples(preaching tour) did.*
Then thousands of needy people came to them.
They wanted healing, teaching, & were hungry.
How would you respond?
Turn boat around; ignore them.
We tend to believe that our present needs
Are more important than the multitude's constant needs.
:14 - When Jesus saw them, he had compassion & healed.
Today, a multitude will die w/o food, another w/o Jesus.
:15 - God, "send the crowds away." I can't help them.
I - Jesus house, starving kids, unreached peoples for Christ.
Our problem isn't lack of resources or time, but compassion!
:16 - God wants us to be part of the solution.
God has blessed us in order to bless others.
:16 - God wants us to give what we have, not what he needs.
We can't use lack of $ as an excuse (1/3 $ 2 a day), or time (equal w/all), or people.
We can only blame our lack of love & surrender to God.
God takes our willing obedience & does a miracle.
:19 - God will multiply what you give him.
:17 - Focus on what God has, not what we have.
Align ourselves w/ the heart of Christ & power of God.
IMB Missionaries (Dr's, teachers, business, me). Churches & Christians spend
majority of God's blessings on ourselves.
Disciples hadn't eaten yet & didn't want to share.
:20 - Disciples had more food A/F they gave it to God. By giving God what we have,
we can impact thousands of people for his kingdom. By keeping it, we can only
impact our own kingdom.
