How to express thanks for Jesus' cleansing
- Have you ever had chicken pox or poison ivy?
1. Remember where you used to be(:12-14)
- Leprosy - infectious skin disease; it's obvious.
: 12-13 - Ostracized; "at a distance," "Loud voice"
: 13 - Own point of humble need & repentance; "Pity"
: 14 - "Cleansed" - changed; not apparent anymore.
- You can't tell that I used to have chicken pox.
- Jesus' cleansing is so thorough, you may forget. You looked so bad B/F or were in
such need.
2. Recognize hoe God's changed you(:15)
- Luke 7:39-47 - Jesus - "forgiven little loves little"
- We're all more dirty B/F salvation than we think.
- Cleansing more inward for us; less noticeable, no picture.
- We all have much cleansing to be thankful for.
:14- Do you notice how God has cleansed you since he saved you?(Get feedback)
3. Return & praise God(:15,18).
:15-16 - He praised God & asked God(:13) in A "loud voice"
- We may scream to God for help yet mumble thanks.
- Where did the 9 go? The priests(:14). We may focus so much on our next step
w/God, we don't thank him for past steps.
- Were 9 thankful? Probably be thankful vs show thanks.
- Have you literally thanked Jesus for his cleansing?

have the opportunity?
